She said her critics always helped her stay on her toes
- She says her life would have been "weaker " without them
Popular Kumawood actress, Maame Serwaa, has recently revealed that negative comments concerning her acting are the main reasons why she's endeavored to improve on her acting capabilities.
Maame Serwaa, born Clara Benson, has previously received a lot of criticism either for the simple fact that she's still pretty young, of for her acting abilities. Touching on these two topics, the young - and well loved - Kumawood actress revealed that it is this form of criticism that has helped her remain on her toes.
Speaking to the popular radio personality, Abeiku Santana, Maame Serwaa stated that she wouldn't have been able to succeed in the industry if she allowed other people's negative comments to affect her.
"Some went ahead to say, she was going to be a school dropout. All the negative comments from such people made me stronger and also encouraged me to stand firm in the business," she said Abeiku Santana.
Some critics have doubted that Maame Serwaa would make a lasting impression on the Ghanaian movie industry due to her age, although the actresses continued appearances - and success - in local movies has proved otherwise.
‘’I, Maame Serwaa, if I have completed JHS and SHS then it’s their negative words that made me accomplish that goal because when they said the negative words against me, I never allowed it to come to pass,’’ she said.
The inspired young actress went on to say that it's her critics that have played a major role in making her stronger, and that her life would be weak without them.
